Nicholas Dawkes (Nic to you) is a specialist portrait photographer with over 20 years of experience behind the camera. Based in Maidenhead, Berkshire, his work is all about capturing people at their best — whether for personal branding, professional headshots, or editorial-style portraits.

Having photographed thousands of clients from all walks of life, Nic brings a calm, confident presence to every shoot. His fully equipped studio offers a relaxed and welcoming space, with expert coaching included as standard to help clients feel at ease and get the most from their session.

The aim of my shoots is to not put pressure on you to ‘perform’ in front of the camera, as soon as someone feels they have to project something into the lens, thats when it all goes wrong! I want you relaxed and comfortable and only then can we capture some LIFE in the image. I use a lot of direction during my shoots to get you in a different headspace and thinking about your casting and where we want the photos to get you.
